The most interesting things said about AI at REMIX weren't the success stories.
They were the confessions!

I was recently on a panel (pictured) discussing questions and confessions from attendees about how they are actually using, and feeling about, AI right now.
It was a reminder that behind every AI roadmap, there is a human being who is a little bit worried. Worried about losing the "soul" of their work, worried about bias, and worried about losing that genuine connection with their audience.
This aligns with so much of what we hear at 7DOTS.
The confession I hear most often is that people are using AI because they feel they have to, but they’re concerned it isn't actually making things better for themselves or their customers.
When we use technology to cut corners, or hide behind, people feel it. But when we use it to make a real difference and have a positive impact, that's when confidence and trust are built.
After all, technology is at its best when it solves a real human problem.
My takeaway from the panel was simple:
We don't just need more tools. We need a better understanding of how to use them to realise the benefits they can bring to people and the planet.
I’ve shared the full breakdown of these confessions and our discussion in the link below.
