Great digital experience isn't just about seamlessness.
It's about meaningful interactions.

It's really easy to get caught up in creating a seamless, frictionless digital experience. I've been there myself.
After all, we hear about the importance of it ALL the time.
And don't get me wrong, it is incredibly important.
However, in a considered purchase journey, if it becomes to seamless, it can strip away the moments that really matter.
The moments that will create connection, trust and credibility.
That's because meaningful moments will guide, reassure, and connect with users on an emotional and cognitive level.
They will move your experience from transactional to relational.
And this will move people closer to engaging with your organisation.
So I've scribbled 7 tips down on my yellow notepad, using my preferred purple pen (the contract isn't as harsh as black ink on white).
I hope it's readable... but if it's not, here' a summary:
- Focus on clarity
- Deliberately introduce friction
- Surface the humans behind the experience
- Make the invisible, visible
- Acknowledge emotional moments
- Context is king
- Invite interaction
