Every month, my business partner Ed Gossage and I get out of the office.
No agenda. No laptops. Just a walk, talk, and think.

We take turns organising it. This time Ed arranged a Hidden London tour (by the London Transport Museum) of Aldwych Tube station - a station that's been closed since 1994, frozen in time with original tiles still on the walls.
It's quickly become one of the most valuable and enjoyable things we do.
When you're running a business, it's easy to spend every conversation solving the next problem. Clients, deadlines, hiring, cashflow.
The urgent stuff always wins.
But when you step away from all of that, you start connecting dots you wouldn't normally see (pun intended). Different environment, different headspace, different ideas.
It's also one of the ways we support each other. Running a business is intense.
Taking time to just talk, not about the to-do list, but about where we're heading, keeps the partnership strong.
If you run a business with someone, I'd really recommend building something like this into your routine.
Doesn't need to be a disused tube station. A walk works just fine too.
But get out. Think differently.
The best ideas rarely come from behind a desk.
